Shelfari

After looking at Shelfari, I found this was pretty easy to get started. It will take awhile to get around to all of the information that is available. Kind of like surfing the web, a person can get caught up in the different opinions about books and what others have found to be interesting reading.

Adding Photos to Blog

I added some photos for a signage project to my flickr account. We are learning better ways to make wayfinding easier in libraries, also using inexpensive materials.

OPAL archive

Today I listened to an OPAL program about Picturing America and how to use it in your library. It was ok. I just picked one out of all that are available because I had heard about the Picturing America series that can be ordered for displays in the library.

Because these were pictures, they had a slow time loading on the page so there was some wait time. This is something that I probably would not go to as a workshop so having this online was a good thing. Easy and interesting. Stop when I wanted to and even fast forward if needed.

Makes a person curious as to what else is out there and to take time to explore....

So many choices

It is amazing how fast a week goes. I trust that I will be able to keep up. At least with one more blog today. So many choices of buttons to push and places to make comments. This is like visiting a new city, lots to see at first.
